Alumat Zeeman design, produce and deliver industrial products from parts to systems in the worldwide agriculture and horticulture business.
Constantly enhancing and renewal of our products and processes create an inspiring environment for our employees, a high quality level for our customers and an acceptable return of investment for our shareholder(s).

Alumat Zeeman would like to be positioned as an honest and professional and as a company which takes it social responsibility with an action oriented culture.

Vision

The vision of Alumat Zeeman is that the agriculture and horticulture business will develop more and more international. The homemarket where we develop and deliver our technology will stay our key-market. Scaling with a strong decrease of the number of companies in The Netherlands, but also companies which internationalize will lead to a global competition. We expect that our company further will professionalize in customisation and quality. New technology in greenhouse will demand for hightech systems with high level and composed products which best can developed in partnerships. Alumat Zeeman would like to belong to the top three on the production industry, specific the global agriculture and horticulture business, within a period of three to five years. Alumat Zeeman is able to distinguish by constantly renewal of their processes.

Corporate Social Responsibility is positioned within Alumat Zeeman as a moral duty in the stewardship that she has as people and enterprise in the world. People, Planet and Profit are three related terms that will be used in achieving the ambition to contribute to a socially acceptable way of doing business.

Alumat Zeeman B.V. sees this as a process that is used. It will not get a final destination because by the time the targets will be adjusted.

What is CSR?
Within Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) an enterprise will take, as far as the possibility reach their responsibility for the effects on people, planet and business of the activities of the enterprise. The company makes conscious choices to achieve a balance between People, Planet and Profit. Companies can even go a step further and focus on new market opportunities, growth and innovation profitable for people, society and environment. Now and in the future.

CSR is the standard of doing business in the 21th century. Assumptions for this are:
CSR is an integral vision on entrepreneurship which creates economic value (profit), ecological (planet) and social (People) area.
CSR is embedded in all business processes. With every business decision there is a tradeoff between different stakeholder interests: the interest of people involved, companies and organisations. CSR is custom made. For every enterprise the CSR activities will be different. This depends on company size, industry, culture of enterprise and business strategy.
CSR is a process, not a final destination. The goals pursued change over time and with any business decision. It is the company sought to find practicable steps to ensure the social responsibility will be shaped.

Why take CSR as standard for doing business in the 21th century?
• Companies that are thinking about CSR strategically adapt easily to the changing environment. They are less dependent on economic fluctuations. For businesses that social responsible are demonstrably more efficient and innovative.
CSR is reducing cost. For example by reducing waste, lower energy costs, lower absenteeism and more efficient operations.
CSR makes a company an attractive employer and CSR enhance productivity of labor. Workers find it important that they can be proud of the company where they work.
CSR pays. There is increasing demand for CSR companies and products. The government buys since 2010 in only in companies that can demonstrate that they meet minimum sustainability demands.
CSR is good for the image of the company. Companies involved in CSR do have an edge with lenders, policymakers and funding bodies. It is therefore wise to communicate CSR activities.
CSR is essential at the long term. We live on earth with more people who increasingly require raw materials. An increasing number of raw materials are scarce. CSR offers solutions.
CSR can be a short term need, if the society no longer accepts that a company will carry out its activities. They can no longer count on a license to operate. This has been noticeable to consumer boycotts, campaigns by civil society organizations or personnel shortages. Companies with CSR are less vulnerable to actions and boycotts.

Culture

The success of Alumat Zeeman is also prompted by the culture of the company. The norms and values that are important in our approach. We pride ourselves on the flexibility, boldness and decisiveness that we can install that leads to. Involvement, combined with professionalism, makes cooperation and providing quality go hand in hand.
Having a flat organizational structure and short lines of communication is a must. Showing initiative is still appreciated, a foundation for entrepreneurship and for the innovative character. All this in an atmosphere of confidence and no-nonsense.









History

The enterprise Zeeman is founded in 1928 as a maintenance enterprise for greenhouses and is succeeded into a complete supplier for Greenhouse building industry.

Alumat Hasin is since 1985 producer van screen and vent opening systems for the Greenhouse building industry.

The enterprises are merged in 2008 into Alumat Zeeman. All the activities of both companies are hosted by Alumat Zeeman. Alumat Zeeman has 15 employees.

Tools

To be able to manage and to support all our processes Alumat Zeeman is only working with first class tools.





From the 1st of February 2011 Alumat Zeeman starts working with Autodesk Inventor, technical design software. We design, calculate and present a lot of our products via this software. ICN-Solutions is our supplier for this software.
